Pulse FM 96.9 went on the air as a positive alternative to mainstream radio with an all-contemporary Christian music format. Our desire is to create a professional, all music-only radio station with a distinctly Christian message. In December of 2004, LeSEA Broadcasting was able to increase Pulse FM's listening base by purchasing WDOW 92.1 FM. The addition of WDOW was an exciting step for Pulse FM, adding potentially thousands of people around southern Michigan and northern Indiana.
LeSEA Broadcasting's flagship station, WHME 103.1 FM, began broadcasting in 1968 as the result of the vision of Dr. Lester Sumrall. Recognizing that a time would come when Christian broadcasting would be much more difficult to air, it was his dream to bring the message of God's love to every nation on the earth. The vision continues today with a mix of interactive talk, Bible teaching programs and a light mix of inspirational music, 24 hours a day.
It is with great excitement and anticipation that LeSEA Broadcasting headed into a new year of World Harvest Radio offering the highest quality service of its kind. Now more than ever, the goal of LeSEA’s founder, Dr. Lester Sumrall, to reach a million people for Christ every day is becoming a reality. On June 3, 2004, World Harvest Radio added WSHB to the World Harvest Radio family of stations. Located in Cypress Creek, South Carolina, WSHB is considered to be one of the premier shortwave facilities in the world. This great signal covers South America, Central America, the Caribbean, North America, Europe, the Middle East, most of Africa and Australia. WSHB will provide World Harvest Radio with a potential listening audience of millions daily. In addition to WSHB, World Harvest Radio consists of five shortwave stations, called Angels, covering South America, Central America, North America, Asia, Australia and Africa. All of these stations have the ability to penetrate the most remote people groups of the world with the Gospel of Christ.
