Position: Commercial Truck Driver

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

• Drives company truck to transport and deliver cargo.
• Maintains radio or telephone contact with base or supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to new location.
• Maintain communication with broker.
• Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations.
• Keeps record of materials and products transported.
• Position, blocks, secure cargo for transport.
• Cleans, inspects, and services vehicle.
• Operates equipment on vehicle to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials.
• Obtains customer signature for goods delivered.
• Assists in loading and unloading truck manually as needed.
• Serve as liaison to ministry donors and partners.

Requirements:

• Minimum two years of commercial over the road experience.
• Maintain personal appearance and grooming standards as a representative of the ministry of Feed The Hungry.
• Possesses a positive attitude, a proactive work ethic, and can work well in a team environment.
• Demonstrates Christian character and professionalism when interacting with ministry leaders, corporate representatives, prospects, donors, and a variety of volunteers.
• Adheres to ministry standards with respect to personal behavior.
